In the beginning of this song there is a sound that will be lost to time, and that is the sound of the pop of a needle dragging over vinyl that has little scratches and dings on its surface. I'm guessing if a person was born in 1990, this is a sound that he/she might appreciate, or should I say might not appreaciate. It all depends on the way you look at things. To me its more of a nostalgia, then anything else.
Well if you were born in 1990 here are some other little subtle things that you might not learn to appreciate. The weight of your record collection as you move your sixty to one hundred pound cardboard box from one corner of the room to another. Another thing you might not experience is the little wait time it takes to "rewind" a cassette tape. Usually 2 to 5 minutes. The awful experience of dragging a needle over a perfectly new record. The careful skill it takes to lift a needle off a record, to keep it in perfect condition. The youth will never know the little act of changing a worn out needle on a record player. At this moment these happen to be a few things that come to the surface of my memory. I'll give it some thought, and post some more experiences forever lost in time.
