It's funny and I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but out of the hundreds of guitars I've owned throughout my life (literally), non of them have been electric. Sure I've had acoustic guitars with built in pickups but that's not the same. I know one thing for sure, I'm glad I'm subscribing to this guy because the day I get my first electric this is where I'm coming. Not only does he jam, but moreover he's a great teacher. Breaking down the scales, explaining it, and all the while showing you what's going on. Now music theory was my major in college and I could figure this out on my own, but why waste the time when I could pick it up in minutes, learning from this guy. Still Hungry/Black and Gold - Iris Leonardo @ House of Blues | June 30th

I gotta tell you a little story of how I stumbled upon Iris Leonardo. I was on you-tube actually looking for a song by a vocalist by the name of Ciara. Well,I can't tell you the name of the song I was looking for because I don't remember, but I do remember some of the hits that came up were actually covers. So Iris Leonardo was up there on the list; I clicked on to Iris' video of her doing a cover song by Ciara. It took all of about 3 seconds, and I was hitting the ''Subscribe" button. She's got a great voice. Did a great cover of Ciara's by the way.
     Anyway ever since then I drop in on her channel, and find that she ends up in some of the coolest places.(Like on this video) She's cruising around here somewhere in California, and it looks like she's having fun.  So here she is, Lyricist/Singer/Guitarist/Pianist, Iris Leonardo.

Eric Robillard, hailing from France, or at least I believe him to be for the simple fact that French is  what he prefers to write in his descriptions. A  guitarist who can play jazz, blues and rock with great efficacy. I subscribe to his You-tube channel and have had the privilege to correspond with him several times. Basically we related to one another even though he's a world away, and the catalyst was our love of the guitar. I've never actually met him in person and yet I can totally say, "I get it".

This video was sent to me via DesperateMeasurez You-tube channel. I remember being eighteen with a synthesizer, a Fostex four track recorder a couple of acoustics. Just sitting and recording, for hours on end. Time literally stands still, but enough about me. Reading some of the description that was uploaded with this video,DesperateMeasurez claims to be putting out several Albums which will be available on iTunes sometime this year so we'll have to wait and see.

Sungha Jung, I've been subscribing to his You-tube channel for several years now. Plays crisp and clean melodies with precision. A true prodigy in his own right. To see him playing a guitar at the age of 6 or so is astounding. I'm just sorry it took me so long to post his videos.

MY ENDLESS QUEST by Stuart N. Taba

This book follows the author’s messianic quest after the passing of the 20th century. Along the way, he comes to realize that he was not meant to walk alone; rather, the woman meant for him had been following his every step for many decades. She had followed him to Georgetown in 1983, and was witness to his suicide attempt on a humid night in August, the start of the school year. As recorded in the author’s earlier book, he had come to realize that he was living a special life in 1984, when he was deceived by unethical mental health practitioners and supposed friends into Kekela, the Queen’s Hospital’s mental ward. Each person there apparently knew of his special destiny, but not one of them overtly displayed it.

As the years went by, Taba lost focus of the conspiracy along the way to becoming a very heavy drinker. But at the turn of the century, the writer regained his messianic consciousness, once again coming to full awareness. In May 2001, he deciphers a call for help by an anonymous woman in the songs, commercials, and deejays’ comments on the radio. Our hero extemporaneously attempts a daring rescue, but fails to win her hand. As time goes by, Taba comes to understand that he actualizes his divinity each day, rather than after reaching a finish line to full realization. By keeping in mind his special situation, the author actualizes his quest as the self-effacing bodhisattva he has become.

About the Author

Stuart N. Taba was born and raised in Hawaii, where he continues to reside. He graduated from the University of Hawaii in 1982, then failed to succeed at law school at Georgetown in1983 and at UH in 1989. After due soul searching, he wrote of his experiences in My Quest: A Retrospective Journal, published for a fee by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc. This book continues the life story of a humble philosopher, and is self-published by Lulu Enterprises. The author writes, in My Endless Quest, of his drunken wayfaring leading to the night of The Rescue on May 5, 2001, when he began to understand that his freewill very clearly shapes his life in dialectic interplay with predetermined opposition. J
